Black Sand

Black Sand is a sand type block that was added in Minecraft 1.16.1.

Obtaining[]

Can be obtained with any tool or by hand, but using a shovel is the quickest method.

Natural Generation[]

Black Sand naturally generates in the Volcanic Plains, Burnt Forest, and Ominous Woods biomes.

Behavior and Physics[]

Like most sand blocks, including the White Sand, the Black Sand obeys physics and will fall if no blocks are underneath it.
They can be crafted in all sandstone variants.
like other sand types, the player can plant dead bushes, cactus and Dune Grass on it.
