Dead Forest

The Dead Forest is a bleak, brown landscape with thorns but few other hazards.

Description

This biome sits on Loamy Dirt, and has a sky of a hazy, ominous gray color. Woodland Mansions can spawn in this biome.

Vegetation

It spawns Spruce, Dead, and Dying Trees, as well as Thorns and lots of Dead Leaf Piles.

Mobs & NPCs

Villages do not spawn here as of the most recent versions, but Woodland Mansions do, raising the risk of Illagers. Passive mobs such as Sheep do spawn in this biome.

Survival

Survival is easier because of the Persimmon-bearing Dying Trees. It is easier than usual to start a farm here because of these Persimmon fruits. However, not all Dying Trees bear Persimmons. Other resources may be hard to come by.
