Amber This page describes a removed feature.
This feature used to be in the mod but has since been removed.

The Silkglade is a rare swampy biome with patches of cobwebs strewn around its mountainous landscape. Vines drip off of many trees and mushrooms spawn below the tree cover.

Vegetation[]

Willow-shaped oak trees, oak bushes, oak-shaped dead trees and pear-shaped birch trees spawn naturally as well as mushrooms and sparse tall grass.

Mobs & NPCs[]

Spiders replace many hostile mob spawns, but during the day will only be hostile if encountered in the dark.

Passive mobs spawn naturally.

Features[]

Cobwebs are strewn about the ground and trees in various places. These are non-renewable, however; they do quicken the access to string and can be crafted into wool making an early bed easily obtainable.

Early Survival[]

The Silkglade is not a terribly good first day survival choice because of the spawning primarily consisting of spiders and the common spawning of cobweb patches around the land. This being combined with the partially dead swamp like biome makes the Silkglade a very poor choice for living.

History[]

This biome was removed when BOP 1.8 was released. It was later re-added back in 1.13.2 and higher under the name Silkglade. It has been removed again in build 1.16.5.

In 1.7.2 and 1.7.10, Silkglade was a sub-biome of the Sludgepit.
