Mediterranean Forests are lush biomes with pear-shaped dark oak and spruce trees, bushes, and also have an abundance of grass and bush plants. Peonies, dandelions and poppies also spawn frequently in this biome. Calcite replaces dirt in underwater portions of the biome. Survival is very easy here, due to the abundance of wood, and passive mobs for food. Villages can spawn here, giving easy access to food like carrots and potatoes.
This biome used to be called Grove, however it was renamed to Mediterranean Forest in 1.18 due to the addition of the vanilla Grove biome.
