Content / Biomes

Dead Forests are bleak, brown landscapes with dead trees, oak trees, and spruce trees scattered along the landscape. No flowers spawn here, and grass is sparse. On the dead trees, you'll find dead branches. Despite what you may think, survival is somewhat easy here due to the minimal but manageable supply of wood and other resources, though food may be a challenge to obtain due to the fact that no animals spawn here.

Old Growth Dead Forest[]

Old Growth Dead Forests are a variant biome, consisting of taller and more frequent dead trees. Slightly more grass spawns here as well.

Trivia[]

  • The old biome ID before 1.8 was 53.
