The Heathland is a relatively flat biome, home to herds of wild horses and notable for its striking amount of detail and bright Wildflowers. Some patches of the biome are covered with Pine Trees whilst the rest is covered with one-block Maple and Oak leaves. Oak trees and larger oak bushes can appear. The sky shares the same color as in Vanilla, but the grass is saturated a slight brown colour (Oak leaves appear lighter and drier). Villages can also spawn in the heathland.

Before 1.8[]
Before 1.8 it was a biome very similar to the plains, and it also had Jacaranda with villages made of the corresponding wood. The old Biome ID was 199.
