Fungal Jungle is a tropical biome that features mainly huge toadstools, jungle bushes, and oak trees. When in the biome, the air turns a fungal green color, likely caused by the spores of the fungi. Lots of toadstools also spawn on the ground, as well as occasional patches of dripstone and mycelium. On the mycelium patches, red mushrooms can generate. Survival is easy here, there is plenty of wood, and passive mobs do spawn here, which provides food.

Older versions of this biome instead featured huge glowshrooms, and a blue grass color. There is also a removed variant biome, the Overgrown Fungal Jungle, which contained more glowshrooms.

History[]

1.15.2 The Fungal Jungle was added, becoming the successor of the Nether Fungi Forest.
1.17.1 The Fungal Jungle was revamped with the addition of huge toadstools and dripstone. The glowshroom and its variant blocks were moved to the new Glowing Grotto biome.
